A large number of people sat with placards in Parliament Square stating they opposed genocide and supported Palestine Action and all were subsequently arrested on the 12th of July 2025, London, United Kingdom. It is the second Saturday running that people opposing the proscription of the group Palestine Action staged a protest in the square and a huge number of police and press turned out. The protest was organised by Defend Our Juries and similar protests took place in other parts of the country. The pro-Palestine direct action group Palestine Action was proscribed by an act of Parliament and the ban came into force Saturday July 5th 2025. The ban includes showing support of the group and the people were arrested under the terrorism act and will possibly be sentenced to lengthy prison sentences. Palestine Action has never hurt anyone but have targeted Israeli weapons companies in Britain and caused millions of pounds worth of damage in a stated attempt to save Palestinian lives in Gaza. أعلنت شرطة لندن أنها أوقفت أكثر من 425 شخصا السبت خلال تظاهرة جديدة دعما لمجموعة “بالستاين أكشن” (التحرك من أجل فلسطين) المصنفة “إرهابية” والمحظورة منذ بداية يوليوز.
وقالت شرطة لندن في بيان إن هذا العدد يشمل 25 عملية توقيف بتهمة العنف ضد قوات إنقاذ القانون، بعدما حذ رت في وقت سابق من أنها ستوقف أي شخص يظهر دعما صريحا للحركة التي حظرت عقب أعمال تخريب.
